Blackburn Park is a 50-acre multi-use park located along Ashford Dunwoody Road and intersects with Johnson Ferry Road in the heart of Brookhaven in Dekalb County. The park is currently operated by the City of Brookhaven Parks and Recreation Department. Park amenities include multi-use sports fields, tennis courts, playgrounds and multiple walking/jogging/hiking trails that are a part of PATH Foundation (https://www.pathfoundation.org/). The park also enjoys a covered pavilion that can be rented for picnics, family reunions and gatherings. Youth sports are offered through baseball, softball, and soccer programs that operate through the park.
Blackburn Park is home to the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival, food truck Wednesdays in the summer, Light Up Brookhaven in the winter and numerous concerts throughout the year.
We are proud of our big trees, rolling terrain and open spaces. Our park is a welcome respite to the many apartment and condominium dwellers with a need to get outdoors as well as homeowners who want some time away by themselves or with friends and family. Our park truly has something for everyone!
We encourage students, scouts, businesses, churches, families/friends and the overall community to come out and enjoy our wonderful sanctuary within the Atlanta Perimeter and get back to nature, take a quiet walk or run or take in a concert, festival or ballgame.
All are welcome!
